“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me…Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.” Psalm 51: 10,12
Winter is a blend of an unlikely pair. This season rushes us into many events, celebrations and parties and planning; these activities try to co-exist with our need to slow down, snuggle in for some hibernation and true need for restoration. It is a wintry mix of high-stress holiday craze, and slower, reflective moments calling out through the winter months. As it rushes in and then begins to settle in to linger, enjoy the full spectrum of this winter. Play, Celebrate, Plan… and then Dream, Rest, Restore. Take a look at the heart of relationships; soak up some solitude, revise some life tendencies and let the Lord rejuvenate your soul.
“The Lord’s lovingkindness indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23
