As we quiet ourselves to create in our #biblequiltjournal each day, we’re carving these verses deeper into our hearts.
Pray.Father God, strengthen us in the quiet of our devotional time with you. Thank you for speaking to us through Your Word. Renew us as only You can, providing clarity for our busy day.
Bible Quilt your selected verse: Stitch doodle lines around your verse to tie in colors from other verses. Trace back over key words to highlight them in your memory.
Pray.Lord, help us live for You each day, slowing down in Your quiet grace. Still us with Your Word.
Enjoy the process, claiming one verse after another to build upon the depth of your selected topic. What new connections do you see?
Pray.Father God, calm our fears today as we move into this day, anticipating challenges and pressures but confident that You are stronger than whatever comes our way.
Incorporate variety in a few simple ways to create an overall page effect.
Pray.Father God, thank you for being PRESENT for each of us…all mankind. You are greater than all of our collective mess. Help us be still in Your sweet presence so that we may calmly move forward into our day with kindness toward others.
If you do your devotional in the early morning like I do, you might still be sleepy and make spelling mistakes or smudge your handwriting. That’s ok. Tear off a strip of washi tape to cover up the mistake…or trace over the letters to make it bolder.
Pray.Lord, thank you for designing the unique path for each of us; guide our steps each day. We trust in you to reveal the good way for our families in each decision we make.
Sometimes adding a verse to a page will spark an idea for another page.
For instance, this particular verse in Exodus compelled me to do a whole page on Sabbath Rest.

Allow yourself to chase the threads the Lord weaves throughout your devotional time. Supplement with additional reading on particular topics to enhance your understanding of the concept.
Pray.Lord, help us develop ways to Sabbath Well. Refresh our spirits as we attempt to slow down our bodies and mute our racing thoughts to focus on Your Word for us this day.
